Raspberry Cream Cheese Turnovers
These turnovers are a delicious way to start the day with the flavors of fresh raspberries and cream cheese.

1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package (17.3 oz.) frozen puff pastry, defrosted
1 large egg
1 tablespoon water
In mixer bowl, beat cream cheese for one minute. Add 1/4 cup sugar, lemon juice, and almond and vanilla extracts. Beat until smooth, set aside.
Place one sheet of puff pastry on cutting board and unfold. Cut into four equal squares. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar on board; place pastry on sugar and roll out to increase by 1/4 inch. Turn over and lightly roll out pastry to coat other side with sugar. Place a heaping tablespoon of cream cheese mixture in center of pastry. Arrange 8 raspberries on the cream cheese mixture. Beat egg with water. Brush edges of pastry with beaten egg. Fold over to form a triangle. Crimp with a fork to seal edges.
Place on a well-greased cookie sheet. Repeat process, making 8 turnovers.
Bake in 375F oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and immediately place turnovers on cooling rack using a spatula. Serve with remaining raspberries.
